How We Research
Every article starts with real research, not guesswork. Depending on the topic, that means:
- Reviewing official product documentation, manufacturer announcements, and press materials directly at the source
- Checking what’s already been reported by established outlets, and making sure we’re adding something useful rather than repeating it
- Pulling in specifications, pricing, and availability details as they’re confirmed, and noting clearly when something hasn’t been confirmed yet
- Drawing on our own hands-on experience with software, apps, and tools wherever we can actually test them ourselves
Where we can’t independently verify a claim, we say so rather than presenting it as confirmed fact.
Our Use of AI
AI tools are part of how we work, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. Some of our drafts are produced with AI assistance — this can include research synthesis, first-draft generation, or help with structure and formatting.
Here’s what that does and doesn’t mean:
- AI does not publish to our site. Every article is reviewed, edited, and approved by a named human author before it goes live. That byline is a real person, and they’re accountable for what’s published.
- AI doesn’t set our opinions or conclusions. Verdicts, recommendations, and judgment calls come from our editorial team, not from a model.
- Facts get checked regardless of how a draft was produced. Whether a sentence started as AI-assisted or was typed by hand, it goes through the same accuracy standard before publishing.
We’d rather be upfront about this than have you wonder. If how we use AI ever changes in a way that matters to readers, we’ll update this page.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes — everyone does. When we do, we fix it.
If you spot an error, factual or otherwise, contact us with the article URL and a description of the issue. We’ll review it and, where a correction is warranted, update the article and note what changed.
